This assignment was literally smoking hot in more ways than one. Along with it being pure eye-candy these national forest workers were doing vital work at keeping the forest of the Black Hills safe from summer wildfires by doing prescribed burns to help reduce the risk of wildfires this summer. An incredibly fun and visual one for Buzzfeed. On a sad note, we finished this assignment right before the whole news team at Buzzfeed was laid off.
