Suni Lee - The New York Times

We documented Suni Lee for months as her Olympic dreams were put on hold because of the global pandemic. The morning of the Olympics we beamed with pride as we saw Suni perform on a global stage and excel. Suni is very humble but we quickly found in hanging out with her that she has the drive and passion that was going to make her Olympic dreams a reality. The support and sacrifice of her parents was also evident and they still have the first balance beam her family built for her and that she practiced on in front of her house. We couldn’t be more proud that Suni took gold at the Olympics but even without gold, she’s an amazing human and athlete!
